This is about families or guardians we identify who take care of orphaned, vulnerable or abandoned children in the small space of a shack (bungalow). We found that up to four can sleep on one bed and have limited to no space for anything else, nor a table for the kids to study on.
We have just delivered our first sponsored bed where we designed 4 beds to fit into this space. In this way we have optimized the space for these women to have a bed for each child as well as a little table to study on. She can now wash the children in a container inside the bungalow where she had to do it outside previously.

We thank our sponsors Ron and Terri Martin from Salt Ministries for the first four beds and Graham Malan from Gravt Interiors for the design and production of the beds.

Letter from one of the children:
My name is Bafana Nkatazo.
I used to struggle to get something but now I am not. I went to school with no money in my pocket or a snack to chew, I went to a school where your child can never go! I had to pay R50 for my school fee but I could'nt afford it, why cause I was swimming in the middle of poorness.
I lost my mother when I was 11 years old, I don't wanna talk of my father cause I never saw him, neither to see in photos or pictures. When I lost my mother, from then I lost my potential, but for a second I thought that I got my three sisters and three brothers so nothing to worry about. But I never saw any changes; all I did was to swim in poverty and poorness.
If it was'nt for Martin, the man who took me from hell and took me somewhere with tenderness. Even now I would have been swimming in the crazy none potential swimming pool.
Now I feel like a person again, but im not rushing things im taking them slowly. And when I succeed you will see the changes. I will never let my children suffer the same I did in life!
